This is a great photo of the beehives in the Luxembourg Gardens in Paris sent to me by a colleague. Apparently, the beehives have been at this site since 1856.
I wonder if French bees get more holiday than their American counterparts. Do they go on strike? Does the honey taste better because it is French?
They certainly have better hive covers.
How are your bees doing with their mites....and the sugar???
ReplyDeleteWe went there two weeks ago, and they were absolutely not on strike! Or maybe they were starting a demonstration because the side walks were closed (some guys were doing some work in there)...

ReplyDeleteI've been sugar-coating them for the past two weeks and have one more week to go. Next week, after the final sugar dusting, I'll do another mite count. Hopefully it is helping! I'll post an update once I see how well it has worked.
Oh, I did not know that you had to do several sugarings!! Hopefully you are sting free now!!!
